Description
San Jose Estates Tower in Jacksonville, FL. Built in 1925, it originally had a twin tower on the opposite side of San Jose Boulevard joined by an arch. The arch had a sign welcoming travelers to the newly developed San Jose Estates neighborhood. The tower was restored by the San Jose Rotary Club in 2012. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. The neighborhood's style is 1920s Spanish Mediterranean-Revival. The door is constructed of pecky cypress, the structure of stucco, and the tiles were moved from the Epping Forest Yacht Club's original boat house of the same era and style.
